HIKROBOT MV-SC5050XM-00C-NNN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC5050XM-00C-NNN is the C-Mount, monochrome member of the SC5000X family with no built-in light source; its 1/1.45″ CMOS global-shutter sensor captures 2432 × 2048 resolution at up to 60 fps. What sets it apart from the other variants is full openness to external lens and lighting choices — application-specific telecentric, macro or specially angled lenses, along with third-party lighting, can all be mounted on it.

A wide exposure range of 15 µs-1 s gives it flexibility for low-light or custom-lighting scenarios, while gain stays in the same 0-37 dB band as the rest of the SC5000X line. With no built-in light source, power draw is lower — just 10 W at 24 VDC — and it keeps the same 12-pin M12 connector with 3 opto-isolated inputs, 3 opto-isolated outputs, an RS-232 interface, and the same broad protocol support (TCP, UDP, ModBus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Fins, MC, FTP). Without a light module built into the lens mount, the housing is longer — 112.3 × 54 × 110 mm in the flat-angle version and 88.7 × 54 × 110 mm in the right-angle version.

Where it is used

C-Mount flexibility pays off wherever standard integrated-lens models can’t meet the optical requirements — telecentric lenses for high-precision measurement, macro lenses for close-range inspection, or matching lighting already installed on an existing line. The monochrome sensor is favored for contrast-driven edge and shape analysis in metrology, semiconductor component inspection, and precision measurement stations.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
