The MV-SC5050XM-08L-WBN is a monochrome SC5000X camera with an 8 mm liquid lens, delivering 2432 × 2048 resolution at up to 60 fps. Its short focal length suits capturing a wide field of view from a short working distance, while the liquid lens technology adjusts focus electronically without moving parts, enabling fast switching between parts of different height or size.

Support for multiple communication protocols lets the camera connect to a variety of line-control systems, and its rich I/O signal set covers triggering and synchronization needs for line integration. Because it hosts the VisionMaster (VM) platform and over 140 algorithms on board, it can carry out object recognition and defect detection without relying on an external processing unit; IP67 protection makes it suitable for humid or dusty environments.

Where it is used

The wide field of view combined with monochrome sensitivity is an advantage where large-surface parts, or multiple objects on a pallet or tray, need to be captured in a single frame. Typical scenarios include wide-area code reading (DataMatrix/barcode) stations, presence and orientation checks on assembly lines, and mixed-model lines where product height varies. The fast refocusing offered by the liquid lens can reduce changeover downtime between product variants.
