Within the GigE family of the CU series, the MV-CU060-10GM V2 delivers 6 MP monochrome imaging on the Sony IMX178: a 1/1.8″ rolling-shutter CMOS with 2.4 μm × 2.4 μm pixels, 3072 × 2048 resolution and 19.1 fps in Mono 8. Its 41.3 dB SNR, 71.3 dB dynamic range, 0–24 dB gain and 52 μs to 10 s exposure span define a wide operating window from low light to long exposures. The storage temperature range is specified as –30 °C to 80 °C, with a working range of 0 °C to 50 °C.
The interface is 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet, also working on 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet, with cable runs up to 100 m without a repeater. Triggering can be hardware, software or free-run; the 6-pin P7 connector carries the 9–24 VDC supply together with Line 0 (opto-isolated input), Line 1 (opto-isolated output) and Line 2 (bi-directional non-isolated I/O), PoE is optional and typical consumption is 1.7 W at 12 VDC. Compliant with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam, this 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm, roughly 100 g C-mount camera works directly with third-party vision software.

Where it is used
The long-exposure capability and 71.3 dB dynamic range suit this model to tasks where static objects are imaged in dim conditions: bubble and crack search in glass and transparent parts, surface checks on castings, and laboratory or sample imaging. 3072 × 2048 pixels capture small details across a wide field of view in one frame, such as small print characters on packaging or solder bridges on electronic modules. The 19.1 fps rate gives an adequate tempo for stop-and-go assembly cells and robot guidance.
