HIKROBOT MV-CU013-A0GC — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CU013-A0GC brings a Bayer GB color filter to the same 1/2″ global-shutter CMOS platform: 1280 × 1024 pixels of 4.8 μm × 4.8 μm, output at up to 91.3 fps in Bayer GB 8. Because the global shutter reads the whole frame at once, color images of moving objects show no skew, and the 40.6 dB SNR keeps hue separation clean. It is the color GigE counterpart in the budget-oriented CU line, with exposure from 10 μs to 10 s and gain to 16 dB.
Raw Bayer data is delivered in 8, 10, 10Packed, 12 or 12Packed bit depths over Gigabit Ethernet (Fast Ethernet compatible), so the host performs demosaicing; cable length up to 100 m without a relay is retained. Triggering is by hardware input on the opto-isolated Line 0, by software, or free run, with the opto-isolated Line 1 output and bidirectional Line 2 available for strobe or handshake signals, all on the 6-pin P7 connector that also accepts 9–24 VDC (PoE optional). Auto/manual gain and exposure, manual LUT and gamma, a 1.8 W typical budget at 12 VDC and GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam compliance complete the picture in a 29 × 29 × 42 mm, ~100 g C-mount body.

Where it is used
Color at 91 fps is what sorting and grading tasks need: separating parts by cap or housing color, checking that the correct colored wire or connector is fitted, or grading produce by ripeness on a moving belt. Print and label inspection benefit too, from verifying logo colors to spotting missing color plates on packaging. In pick-and-place or robot guidance, the global shutter keeps color edges sharp while the target is still moving.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
