The Omron E6F-C is a rugged incremental rotary encoder with a 60 mm diameter housing and a 10 mm shaft. It offers resolutions from 100 to 1,000 pulses per rotation with phases A, B and Z. The strong shaft accepts 120 N radial and 50 N thrust load, and the water- and oil-proof construction is rated IP65. The maximum response frequency is 83 kHz and the maximum permissible speed is 5,000 r/min.
The E6F-CWZ5G has a complementary output (±30 mA) that can be connected to NPN or PNP open-collector inputs, while the E6F-CWZ5C, offered with 1,000 pulses per rotation, has an NPN open-collector output. Both operate on 12–24 V DC with 100 mA max. current consumption and include power supply reverse-polarity and output load short-circuit protection. The case is zinc alloy, the standard cable length is 2 m, and couplings and mounting brackets are sold separately.
