Encoders that convert shaft rotation angle/speed into a digital signal for motor feedback and axis positioning.
Omron Europe’s current rotary encoder range includes incremental and absolute series. Incremental series: E6A2-C (25 mm dia., up to 500 pulses/rotation), E6B2-C (40 mm dia., up to 2,000), E6C2-C (50 mm dia., up to 2,000, IP64), E6C3-C (50 mm dia., up to 3,600, IP65), E6F-C (60 mm dia., up to 1,000, IP65) and the E6H-C with a 40 mm diameter and hollow shaft (up to 3,600). Absolute series: E6CP-A (50 mm dia., 256 = 8-bit, Gray code), E6C3-A (50 mm dia., up to 1,024 = 10-bit) and E6F-A (60 mm dia., up to 1,024 = 10-bit), with Gray code, binary or BCD output depending on the model. Output types are NPN and PNP open collector, voltage output, complementary output and RS-422A-compatible line driver.
