The MVL-MF1224M-5MPE is a 12 mm fixed-focal-length lens from HIKROBOT’s 2/3″ 5 MP FA Lens series, built for area-scan cameras that need a wide field of view at short working distances. Its 12 mm focal length keeps the angle of view generous enough to capture a whole part or tray in one frame, while the achromatic optical design keeps color-camera images sharp and well corrected. Compared with the longer lenses in the same family, it trades reach for coverage, making it the wide-angle option of the line-up.

Where it is used
Suited to applications where the camera sits close to the target and needs to see a broad area at once — full-tray or full-panel inspection, pick-and-place scenes with several parts in frame, and general assembly-line monitoring where working distance is limited. The wide angle of view also helps when line space is tight and the camera cannot be mounted far from the object.
