Omron F3SG-4RA is the Type 4 Advanced safety light curtain of the F3SG-R series. There are 14 mm finger protection models with 10 mm beam gap and 30 mm hand/arm protection models with 20 mm beam gap; protective height is 160 to 2,080 mm or 190 to 2,510 mm. The operating range reaches 20 m on 30 mm models. Power cables with M12 connectors are prewired to the sensors. The safety outputs are selected as PNP or NPN by DIP switch. With a notice dated 8 July 2026, the manufacturer is discontinuing the series and recommends the F3SG-SR series as replacement.
Per the datasheet, F3SG-4RA is a Type 4 device to IEC 61496-1 and reaches PL e, Category 4 to EN ISO 13849-1. The response time (ON to OFF) in normal mode is 8 to 18 ms. The two safety outputs carry up to 300 mA load current. Functions include interlock, EDM, pre-reset, fixed and floating blanking, reduced resolution and muting/override. Up to 3 segments and 255 beams can be cascaded. Protection is IP65 and IP67; operating temperature is -10 to 55 °C. Per the notice, final order entry is 18 December 2026 and last shipping 19 January 2027.
