Advantech ITA-510 / 560 / 560AGX Series — NVIDIA AI PC

ITA-510, ITA-560 and ITA-560AGX are Advantech’s NVIDIA Jetson based AI inference computers designed for the railway sector (“Edge AI Transportation System” category of Advantech’s “Intelligent Transportation Systems” line). All three meet the EN 50155 OT1 temperature class, IEC 61373 body-mount class B shock/vibration and EN 50121-3-2 EMC requirements; Ethernet and power use vibration-proof M12 connectors and the supply comes from the 24 VDC or 110 VDC vehicle network. Advantech positions them for trackside and rolling-stock applications — automatic train operation, object and moving-obstacle detection, intelligent diagnostics, predictive maintenance.

Common platform: EN 50155, M12, fanless

All models run in a fanless aluminium enclosure from −25 to 55 °C (EN 50155 OT1); voltage-interruption class S2, supply change-over C1, EMC EN 50121-3-2; certifications CE, FCC, BSMI, CCC. Gigabit Ethernet ports are M12 X-coded, the power input M12 S-coded (24 VDC “-L” and 110 VDC “-S” versions); the RJ45-to-M12 and power cables FRU-ITALAN-0003 / FRU-ITAPWR-0001 are ordered separately. Every model has HDMI, two USB 3.0, CAN (DB9) and 8-bit digital I/O (DB9); the systems ship with Linux Ubuntu.

Which model for which job

ITA-510 (482.6 × 44 × 218.3 mm, 1U rack): for on-board 19″ cabinets and trackside rack cabinets; Orin NX 16 GB (100 TOPS) or Orin Nano 8 GB (40 TOPS), 4 × GbE, COM, Mini PCIe + M.2 B/E/M key. ITA-560 (160 × 60 × 190 mm, wall mount): the same platform and I/O in a compact box for cabinets without a rack. ITA-560AGX (260 × 75 × 197.2 mm, wall mount): AGX Orin 32 GB (200 TOPS) or 64 GB (275 TOPS), 64 GB eMMC, 3 × GbE — for multi-camera perception and large models; no serial port or M.2 B/E key.

Cameras, wireless and expansion

GigE Vision and IP cameras connect to the M12 Ethernet ports (via the RJ45 adapter cable); two USB 3.0 ports serve USB3 cameras. On ITA-510/560 the M.2 B key 3052 (5G/LTE, nano SIM) and M.2 E key 2230 (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) slots with six antenna holes provide wireless connectivity; the M.2 M key 2280 SSD is for storage. ITA-560AGX has Mini PCIe and M.2 M key 2242. The CAN port is for the vehicle bus, the digital I/O for signal and relay connections.

Where it is used

Forward-looking vision and track/obstacle detection on trains, pantograph and catenary monitoring, passenger counting and security analytics, trackside crossing and platform monitoring, wheel/bogie condition detection and predictive maintenance, depot/workshop automation. FST delivers the ITA system together with the camera/LiDAR layer, industrial Ethernet and model commissioning services as one solution for railway projects; EN 50155 compliance documents are obtained from Advantech per project.
