ARK-1222 brings the same 60 mm DIN-rail housing as ARK-1221L to Intel’s newer Alder Lake-N / Amston Lake platform: the quad-core Intel N97, the industrial-grade quad-core Atom x7433RE (−40 to 70 °C) or the octa-core Core i3-N305. 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory is soldered on board; four RS-232/422/485 serial ports, two 2.5GbE Intel i226-IT ports and two independent 4K HDMI outputs bring the PLC network, serial field devices and HMI screens into one box. Unlike the other DIN-rail models of the series it carries an iDoor slot: PCIe-based MOS modules add isolated CANBus, isolated serial ports, 16 DI / 8 DO digital I/O or extra Gigabit Ethernet without changing the chassis.
Storage uses an M.2 2280 B key with nano-SIM holder (NVMe, PCIe ×2) and an mSATA slot shared with mPCIe; an M.2 2230 E key serves wireless. TPM 2.0 is on board; an optional cable kit adds two CANBus ports (not usable together with iDoor). The 12 – 28 VDC input connects directly to a 24 V cabinet supply; the 90 W adapter is optional. Advantech bundles SUSI API, WISE-DeviceOn, Trellix and Acronis with the system. Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 images are available; VESA and wall mounting kits are optional.
