HIKROBOT MV-CT1CG0032/G/NN/NN — Area Scan Cameras

The HIKROBOT MV-CT1CG0032/G/NN/NN is the GigE-interface PRO model in the third-generation CT series area scan camera family. Its 1/1.8″ optical format global shutter stacked BSI CMOS sensor, with a 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixel size, produces color images at 2048 × 1536 resolution and reaches up to 39 fps (in Bayer GR 8 format). A 73.9 dB dynamic range and 42.4 dB signal-to-noise ratio preserve detail even across wide lighting variations. The camera offers 0–12.8 dB gain in high full-well mode and 0–24 dB gain in high sensitivity mode, with exposure time ranging from 30 µs to 10 s in the former and 5 µs to 10 s in the latter. The global shutter architecture captures moving objects without distortion. The compact 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing and approximately 74 g weight also suit the camera to lightweight, space-constrained mounting points.

The camera communicates over a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet data interface and is compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet; connection is made through an 8-pin M12 X-Code waterproof connector. There is no separate control connector — triggering and I/O are handled over the data interface. Power can be supplied in the 9–24 VDC range with PoE support; typical power consumption is 1.5 W at 24 VDC. The IP67 rating provides dust and water resistance when the lens, housing, and cables are correctly installed, and allows operation between -30 °C and 60 °C. The PRO version combines the waterproof M12 X-Code connector with precise temperature control. The camera complies with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam standards.

The two gain/exposure modes (high full-well and high sensitivity), together with a wide 73.9 dB dynamic range, suit this model to medium-speed in-line inspection and defect-detection tasks under variable or challenging lighting. The 2048 × 1536 resolution allows fine detail to be distinguished clearly, while the 39 fps frame rate is sufficient for moderate-pace production lines. The IP67 rating and -30 °C to 60 °C operating range provide durability in dusty or humid environments.
