HIKROBOT MV-CT2CG0020/G/NN/NN — Area Scan Cameras

HIKROBOT MV-CT2CG0020/G/NN/NN is the GigE-interface MAX model in the third-generation CT series of area scan cameras. With a 1/2.53″ optical format, its global shutter stacked BSI CMOS sensor, with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels, delivers 1624 × 1240 resolution (2.0 MP) color imaging and can reach up to 177.3 fps with lossless compression enabled. A 68.7 dB dynamic range and 44.1 dB signal-to-noise ratio preserve detail even in color imaging. With a 0-24 dB gain range, the sensor offers an exposure time from 23 µs to 10 s. The global shutter architecture allows moving objects to be captured without distortion. As a MAX-tier model, it includes PRO-class features along with the option of an integrated lens and light source.

The camera communicates over a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface, compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet, through an 8-pin M12 X-Code waterproof connector. This model also has a separate 8-pin M12 X-Code waterproof control connector. Powered from 9-24 VDC with PoE support, it typically draws 1.6 W at 24 VDC. The 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm housing weighs approximately 120 g. With the lens, enclosure and cables correctly installed, it reaches IP67 protection and operates from -30 °C to 60 °C. Fitted with a C-Mount lens interface, it complies with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam standards.

The presence of a separate control connector simplifies integration into systems requiring external triggering and synchronization. IP67 protection and an operating range of -30 °C to 60 °C support reliable operation in dusty or humid manufacturing environments. Its color imaging capability gives an advantage in inspection tasks requiring color differentiation or color-based sorting.
