The Telemecanique XS612B4PAL2 is an XS6-family inductive proximity sensor of the XS range with a cylindrical M12 x 1 threaded body. It is non-flush mountable. Nominal sensing distance (Sn) is 7 mm, with an operating zone of 0–5.6 mm. Enclosure is nickel-plated brass, sensing face PPS; length 54 mm, threaded length 42 mm, net weight 0.075 kg. Differential travel is 1–15 % of the effective sensing distance; switching frequency is up to 2500 Hz. The manufacturer lists mobile equipment as its device application.
Supply is 12–48 V DC (limits 10–58 V DC) with reverse polarity protection. The PNP 1 NO output switches up to 200 mA with overload and short-circuit protection; closed-state voltage drop is below 2 V and no-load current consumption is at most 10 mA. Connection is via a 2 m PVC-insulated 3 x 0.34 mm² cable; a yellow LED shows the output state.
