The Telemecanique XCSRC is a Preventa RFID contactless safety switch from the XCS range. In face-to-face mounting the assured operating distance (Sao) is 10 mm and the assured release distance (Sar) 35 mm; the transponder with rotary sensing face offers 3 approach directions. The family includes the standalone models XCSRC11MM12 (EDM and manual start, unique pairing) and XCSRC31AM12 (EDM and automatic start, re-pairing enabled), and the daisy-chain model XCSRC32M12 for series connection. It conforms to SIL 3 (IEC 61508), SILCL 3 (IEC 62061), PL e and category 4 (ISO 13849-1); PFHd is 5E-10/h.
The safety outputs are two solid-state PNP outputs (2 NO) with short-circuit protection. Supply is 24 V DC (-20 to +10 %, SELV or PELV) and current consumption 60 mA. Standalone models connect via one 8-pin M12 male connector, the daisy-chain model via two 5-pin M12 male connectors. Risk time is 120 ms; on the daisy-chain model 18 ms is added per additional switch connected in series. The housing material is Valox, with two multi-colour LEDs for status. Operating temperature is -25 to +70 °C, degree of protection IP65, IP66, IP67 and IP69K.
