Externally Pressurized Expansion Joint

Externally Pressurized Expansion Joint

In an externally pressurised expansion joint the medium pressure acts on the outer surface of the bellows. This arrangement reduces the tendency of the bellows to buckle under pressure, so a single unit can absorb a longer axial movement.
