This model shares identical optical and sensor specifications with the standard 4 MP measurement HDMI camera in the same family: a 1/1.88″ CMOS rolling-shutter sensor with 2.9 μm pixels, 2560×1440 resolution and a 30 fps ceiling. As its name indicates, the measurement software here ships with a Micro Software Dongle — the same hardware platform, distributed with a different software-licensing method. Gain and exposure ranges (0-18 dB, 300 μs-100 ms) match the other 4 MP model.
Its connectivity mirrors the standard 4 MP model: HDMI for direct monitor output, a USB port for a mouse or flash disk, and USB 3.0 to link to a PC and run the client software. Image storage, parameter adjustment, measurement and report generation all run through that client software — the difference is that the software here is delivered with a micro hardware dongle. Power supply (independent 12-24 VDC, typ. 3.6 W @ 12 VDC), C-mount lens mount and the 75×75×86.9 mm / 430 g housing are identical to the other 4 MP model.

Where it is used
Since its hardware measurement capability matches the standard 4 MP model, it fits the same solder-point checks, PCB/electronics inspection and lab-microscope measurement tasks; what differs is how the measurement software is licensed (via a micro dongle). A dongle-based license can suit setups where the measurement station needs to move between different computers.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
