The XPSMCMCP0802 is the CPU unit of the modular Preventa/Modicon XPSMCM safety controller system, designed to monitor multiple, complex safety functions on and around a machine from a single configurable device rather than a fixed-logic relay. It can operate stand-alone or be extended with I/O, relay-output, communication, and speed-monitoring expansion modules, and is configured using SoSafe Configurable software. It replaces multiple discrete Preventa safety relays with one certified, application-configurable controller.
