Panasonic GX-308MK is an M8 threaded, flush (shielded), long sensing range inductive proximity sensor from the GX-300 series. The housing is stainless steel (SUS303) and the sensing face is PBT. The maximum operation distance (Sn) is 2 mm ±10 % and the stable sensing range is 0 to 1.6 mm, referenced to an iron sheet of 8 × 8 × t 1 mm. The response frequency is 1,500 Hz and the hysteresis is 15 % or less of the operation distance. Between -25 and +70 °C the sensing range stays within ±10 % of its value at +23 °C.
Supply voltage is 10 to 30 V DC and current consumption 16 mA or less. The NPN (-N) or PNP (-P) open-collector output carries up to 200 mA (100 mA between +70 and +85 °C) and is short-circuit protected; normally open (-A) and normally closed (-B) versions exist. The PNP normally open model GX-308MK-A-P communicates via IO-Link (COM3, 230.4 kbps). Protection is IP67, IP69K and IP67G, with an operating range of -40 to +85 °C. The standard connection is a 2 m oil-resistant cable, with -C5, -R, -R5, -J suffix connection options. Net weight is about 55 g.
