The Panasonic SG-A1 is an ultra-slim safety door switch operated by an actuator; the manufacturer states that, with three built-in contacts, it is among the world’s smallest designs. Door monitor contacts are available as 2NC, 2NC + 1NO or 3NC. Two actuator entry slot orientations are available; the unused slot is closed with the supplied plug. Cables are pre-installed and connected internally at the factory, so no separate cable is needed. It can be installed on sliding and hinged doors. Actuators are not included and must be ordered separately.
It conforms to EN 60947-5-1 and GS-ET-15 and is intended for use with ISO 14119 and IEC 60204-1. Direct opening travel is min. 8 mm and direct opening force min. 60 N. Thermal current is 2.5 A and rated insulation voltage 300 V. Mechanical durability is min. 1,000,000 operations and electrical durability min. 100,000 operations at AC-12 250 V 1.5 A; B10d is 2,000,000. The enclosure is PA66, protection IP67 and operating temperature -25 to +70 °C. Actuator operating speed is 0.05–1.0 m/s and operating frequency 1,200 operations per hour.
