The NX-V680C1 (1 channel) and NX-V680C2 (2 channels) are RFID Units that connect V680-series RFID devices to the NX-series I/O system. They connect directly to NX-series CPU Units or through an EtherCAT or EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit. V680-HS separate-amplifier antennas (with a V680-HA63 amplifier) are used, and the NX-V680C1 can also take the V680-H01-V2 antenna with built-in amplifier. The units work with V680S and V680-series RF tags, use the ISO/IEC 18000-3 (15693) protocol and support burst communication of 8 KB data with a read/write size of up to 8,192 bytes.

Reads and writes are performed by setting parameters in the memory area of the machine automation controller, and communication programs are built with function blocks of the Sysmac RFID Communications Library (SYSMAC-XR019). The unit provides write protection, tag service life detection, CRC memory error detection, ECC error correction and a test command with noise measurement. It measures 30 × 100 × 71 mm and is supplied from the NX bus; power consumption is 1.00 W max. when connected to a CPU Unit. Operating temperature is 0 to 55 °C; weight is 120 g (C1) and 130 g (C2) max.
