The MVL-KF1628M-12MP offers a slightly narrower angle of view than the 12 mm model in the same family, at 16 mm. It keeps the Ø17.6 mm image circle and the F2.8–F16 iris range, while the longer focal length lets the camera sit a bit further from the target. That adds mounting flexibility while keeping the same low-distortion performance.

Where it is used
The 16 mm focal length gives a bit more mounting-distance flexibility than the 12 mm model, for stations where placing the camera right at the line isn’t practical but a moderately wide area still needs coverage. It suits general part counting, assembly verification, and mid-distance surface checks.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
