The MVL-KF2528M-12MPE is the longest focal length in the 1.1″ 12 MP KF-E family; at 25 mm it gives the narrowest field of view in the series, letting the camera stay farther from the target while magnifying small details. Its F2.8-to-F22 aperture range still allows depth-of-field to be tuned to the application even at this longer focal length.

Where it is used
The narrow 25 mm angle fits stations where the camera has to stay at a distance from the target — for clearance or safety reasons — while still resolving fine details such as a serial number, small print, or a precision assembly point. It also suits robot-mounted cameras or vibration-prone lines where increasing the working distance reduces the risk of contact with the object.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
