The Omron E2A-S30KS15-M1-B1 is an E2A-S inductive proximity sensor with an M30 short body in stainless steel (SUS 303); Omron created and tested the series for harsh environments and heavy vibration. This flush (shielded) sensor has a rated sensing distance (Sn) of 15 mm ±10% and a setting distance of 0 to 12 mm. With the supplied nuts it mounts level with the metal surface; true flush mounting needs a 4 mm free zone. Standard sensing object: 45 × 45 × 1 mm mild steel (ST37); average response frequency: 250 Hz; differential travel: at most 10% of the sensing distance.
Supply voltage is 12 to 24 V DC (operating range 10 to 32 V DC) and current consumption 10 mA max. The PNP open-collector NO output switches up to 200 mA with a residual voltage of 2 V max. Reverse polarity, surge and short-circuit protection are included. Connection is via a 4-pin M12 connector; the yellow indicator is arranged 4 × 90°. The sensor is rated IP67 and IP69K, operates from −40 to 70 °C and withstands 1,000 m/s² shocks. Overall length 58 mm, thread length 44 mm, torque 180 N·m, packaged weight approximately 200 g.
