Panasonic GX-305M is a small-diameter, flush-mountable inductive proximity sensor from the GX-300 series. The M5 threaded cylindrical housing is made of stainless steel (SUS303), the sensing face of heat-resistant ABS, and the body is 25.1 mm long. The maximum operation distance (Sn) is 1.2 mm ±10 % and the stable sensing range is 0 to 0.84 mm, referenced to an iron sheet of 4 × 4 × t 1 mm. The response frequency is 4 kHz and the hysteresis is 15 % or less of the operation distance.
GX-305M runs on 10 to 30 V DC and draws 10 mA or less. The NPN (-N) or PNP (-P) open-collector output handles up to 100 mA, with a residual voltage of 2 V or less and short-circuit protection. Normally open (-A) and closed (-B) versions exist; it is fixed with two nuts and a toothed lock washer at 1 N·m or less. The standard 2 m cable is 3-core, 0.14 mm², ø2.9 mm, with -C5, -R, -R5 suffix cable options. Protection is IP67, operating temperature -25 to +70 °C and net weight about 30 g.
