The Panasonic SG-C1 is a compact, lightweight enable grip switch designed on ergonomic principles to fit the hand; the SG-C1-21 weighs approx. 140 g. The 3-position enabling switch has 2 contacts and comes with a 1NC push monitor switch. The holding load in position 2 (ON) is lowered to reduce strain during extended operation, and a tactile click marks the change from position 1 to position 2. Depending on the model, a 2NC emergency stop switch, green indicator, 2 momentary pushbuttons or a key selector switch are added. The rubber boot is yellow silicone and wiring is by solder terminal.
It conforms to EN 60947-5-1, EN IEC 60947-5-8 and GS-ET-22 and is intended for use with ISO 12100, IEC 60204-1, ISO 11161, ISO 10218-1, ANSI/RIA R15.06 and ISO 13849-1:2015. B10d is 2,000,000. Mechanical durability is min. 1,000,000 operations for position 1→2→1 and min. 100,000 for position 1→2→3→1. The enabling switch is rated 1 A at 125 V for AC-12 and 1 A at 30 V for DC-12. The emergency stop switch has a thermal current of 5 A. Operating temperature is -25 to +60 °C, and it withstands a 1.0 m free fall. Actuator strength with the entire button pushed is min. 500 N.
