As the shortest focal length in the HIKROBOT FA Lens series, this 6 mm lens gives 1/1.8″ 10 MP sensors a wide field of view, letting it capture large surfaces in a single frame at short working distances. Its larger aperture, lower distortion and higher relative illumination rate counter the edge darkening and shape distortion typically seen at wide angles.

Where it is used
Suited to area-scan setups where an entire PCB panel, packaging carton, or a row of products on a pallet must be captured in a single frame at close range. The wide field of view also helps reduce camera count on lines with tight mounting clearances.
