Where it is used
The 50 mm focal length is considered for applications where the camera must sit very far from the target and the object’s position on the line can vary somewhat. Because clarity holds up across a range of distances, it suits reading or measurement tasks on lines where part height or position is not perfectly fixed. It fits installations where the camera is mounted somewhere hard to reach within a large facility, such as on a high rack or ceiling point.
