HIKROBOT MVAC-PY-FV373-D3XF — Area Scan Cameras
4 MP, Global Shutter CMOS, USB 3.0, Color, 90.1 fps

Unlike the other cameras in this group, the MVAC-PY-FV373-D3XF is a 4-megapixel color USB 3.0 area scan camera with a global-shutter CMOS sensor and a square 2048 × 2048 frame; the manufacturer’s table does not name the sensor model. Its 5.5 μm × 5.5 μm pixels on a 1-inch format enlarge the light-gathering area, and the camera reaches 90.1 fps in Bayer GB 8; 39.6 dB SNR, 59.7 dB dynamic range and 0 to 12 dB gain belong to this sensor. An exposure range from 30 μs to 10 seconds defines a wide working envelope from fast motion to long integration, and the model is listed in the USB3.0 area scan group of the CS series.
The official feature list covers hardware trigger, software trigger and free run; the trigger enters through the opto-isolated Line 0 input on the 6-pin P7 connector, the strobe leaves through the opto-isolated Line 1 output, and Line 2 remains a bi-directional non-isolated line. USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) supplies both data and power at a typical 2.4 W at 5 VDC, and a 9 to 24 VDC external supply is also specified. Images can be taken as Bayer GB 8/10/10Packed/12/12Packed, YUV422Packed, YUV422_YUYV_Packed, RGB 8, BGR and Mono 8/10/12; the 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm C-mount body of about 88 g is IP40 rated, mounts from four sides and complies with USB3 Vision and GenICam.

Where it is used
Global shutter at 90.1 fps is decisive wherever moving objects must be captured without distortion: color part recognition and picking on a robot arm, verification of colored caps and labels on a high-speed belt, missing-item checks on products passing over a rotary table. The square 2048 × 2048 field of view uses the sensor area efficiently on symmetrical objects such as bottle mouths, discs and round components. The large 5.5 μm pixels help keep lighting power modest even at short exposures.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
