FPM-715 is the 15″ XGA (1024 × 768) resistive-touch industrial monitor of Advantech’s FPM-700 series: 300 cd/m² brightness, 2000:1 contrast, 176° viewing angle and a 70,000-hour backlight. The 5-wire analog resistive screen suits glove use; the anti-glare tempered-glass surface and two user-defined contrast/brightness settings on the OSD buttons allow quick adjustment on site. The 15″ 4:3 format is the most common size for replacing previous-generation operator displays while keeping existing panel cutouts; the 70,000-hour backlight is the longest in the series.
The three models share one platform: direct HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA inputs, a combo USB/RS-232 touch interface, 1 × USB 2.0 at the rear, 24 VDC via terminal block and lockable connectors. The front panel is die-cast magnesium alloy and the rear cover die-cast aluminium; the front is IP66-rated. A −20 to 60 °C operating range, 1 Grms vibration resistance and stand/wall/panel/VESA 75 mounting cover on-machine and cabinet-door applications. In the ordering code, -R9AE is made in China and -R9AU in Taiwan; the rack-mount kit and 60 W adapter are optional.
